SAVE ECOLOGY
“The aim of this project was to broaden the awareness of today's youth about ecology, problems connected to this area, such as excessive waste generation, excessive resource consumption, inadequate environmental protection, the need for recycling, environmental pollution and that like. We realized the complexity of the problems which were connected with nowadays production and distribution of different kinds of products and we became part of their solution. It was important to extend the competences of the participants in this area, so that they could bring change for their surroundings.
The main activity of the project was youth exchange. Youth exchange took place in the Gåsbustua, Norway on 21-30 September 2021. The number of participants was 60. There were 8 Youth and 2 group leaders from each country. Countries; France, Norway, Turkey, Estonia, Lithuania and Slovakia
The group are: group leaders - a youth worker or person with experiences with youth work in the age 18+. Furthermore, the group consists of 8 participants in the age of 15-30.
The participants didn’t have experiences in Erasmus+ or another similar program. The organizing group consisted of volunteers working on the project, facilitators, coordinators of the project, staff ensuring logistics and project continuity. Organisers of the project and facilitators worked 10 days before the beginning of the project to create activities. Every activity (workshop) was done in non-formal education – discussion, role-play, interactive presentation, self-reflection, educational games, video, workshops, etc. Participants presented their personally created wares and possibilities of Erasmus+ program to local people. Every participant learned new things from different areas by these activities. Participants worked also with non-national minorities. Participants learned how to work alone or with people from different countries. Participants were in situations where they discussed in foreign language (by using it they will be better in it). In group works, they learned how to learn new things. Every participant gained 8 key abilities. Right choice of participants and leaders made the best possibility to gain the best result in accomplishing the objectives.
