Emotion Sense in Youth 16 - 2 of April 2022
Why do we sometimes lose our minds so easily? Why do some people resort to intoxication when upset or angry? What can we change to make us better? It usually depends on a person's ability, called emotional intelligence, or emotional literacy - self-control, the ability to justify their actions, to control emotions.
Our time is NOW to SOLVE IT. We had to solve problems about new virus that is spreading in our society, its emotional instability, psychological illnesses, spiritual insignificance that is destroying the good of community life. Young people and general public face a myriad of stressful situations that are often the cause of various ailments. That is what we were trying to learn and solve during the project.
All of these solving skills was introduced to us during the project Emotion Sense. We have learned how to cope with it in practical and theorethical way. We have learned that most of us had lack of emotional intelligence. To increase it we have used methods provided by the facilitator and group work. We have shared our experiences and knowledge between all the participants. Every day we have different events, where we address psychological illnesses. Acknowledging the problem was the first step. Our generation of young people are more emotionally vulnerable, more lonely and suffering from psychological disorders, angry and uncontrollable, nervous and aggressive, sad people. Psychological illnesses and disorders have significant economic and social consequences. There are programs to improve psychological health in all countries of the European Union, and we introduced one as well with Kaunas University of Technology.
During the project solved there problems:
- how the ability to live and the conscious management of emotions can preserve our most valued human ties, relationships, the social inclusion and solidarity of young people, respect for human rights, freedom and tolerance.
- how market forces that change our professional lives underline the importance of emotional intelligence in employment relationships;
- how to get rid of poisonous emotions that lead to constant use of cigarettes or other harmful substances, emotions that lead to depression, eating disorders or even suicide.
- how emotional balance helps to maintain health and live well-being.
- how emotional intelligence can become a prevention of psychological illnesses and disorders
- why it is important to develop an awareness of emotion management from an early age, to introduce young people's initiative and understanding of emotional education, and how it is important to include it in the education system around the world.
